In the development of a mammalian kidney, the epithelium tubes which are called as the ureteric buds branch and make an arranged branching pattern. A major cause of those branches is cell migration induced by Gdnf which is known as chemoattractants in kidney development. We model the morphological change of the kidney by a two-dimensional extended cellular potts model, considering more realistic components. In the simulation, a tip of the ureteric bud is assumed as a one-layered tissue and we examine the dependence of parameters representing cell properties for shape of the ureteric bud. We report some simulation results and future issues.
