Control of attractive-replusive transition of chemotaxis in growth cone

Wiring of neuronal network is guided by chemotaxis of growth cone which is a tip of axon. Such axon guidance is controlled by both attractive and repulsive gradient sensing depending on cue molecules and internal states of growth cone. In this talk, I will show logic of transition between attractive and repulsive response of chemotaxis through mathematical analysis of a simple reaction-diffusion model. My result is very consistent of many experimental data.
