Basic modes of deformation of an epithelial tube under different mechanical conditions

In epithelial morphogenesis, tubular structures are frequently observed and they are transformed to create more complex morphology of epithelial tissues. We developed 3D vertex models for the tubes and examine deformation patterns of them under different mechanical conditions and parameters. We show some modes of deformation and discuss the biological interpretation of the numerical results.
