Altruism is observed in this real world and it needs explanation. Some mechanisms have been proposed (for example, reciprocity, multi-level selection, and so on), and they enable assortment to be positive. It has been considered that positive assortment is necessary in order for altruism to evolve.
In this talk, I analyze three player games in the finite populations and I obtain the inequality of evolution. This inequality means that positive assortment is not necessary in order for altruism to evolve.
I have not found the novel concrete mechanisms that facilitate the evolution of altruism, but to observe this inequality will lead to the discovering of the novel mechanisms that facilitate the evolution of altruism, I believe.
